Our Services

GROUP / CENTRE ACTIVITIES

Every person needs to have the opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest, and that includes being a part of group activities and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. However, many people with disabilities do not get to enjoy the complete experience due to their specific health needs.

At Carelink Supports and Services, we understand this. That’s why, we offer NDIS participants the chance to engage in social activities through our group and in-centre activities.

Our support staff will organise social activities that will accommodate the needs of the clients as well encourage everyone to participate in them. These group and in-centre activities create a great impact in participants, some of them being:

  • Improvement in mental wellbeing

  • Behavioural improvement

  • Offering complete support and comfort

  • Encouraging independent living

  • Creating a sense of belongingness

You can count on our support staff to ensure that every person’s needs are taken care of during the activities and considerations are made, depending on the participant.

COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

Learning to live independently with minimal assistance is not just limited to learning how to do basic household chores with ease. One of the main aspects of NDIS is to get participants to engage with the community by partaking in a range of activities. There is an array of activities that people with disabilities can engage in to enrich their lives.

At Carelink Supports and Services, our support staff and plan managers are here to help NDIS participants take part in these activities. Whether you are looking for a new hobby to occupy your time with or you want to develop new skills, with the help of our team of trained and qualified staff, you can achieve this.

Our team can help participants find camps, courses, and various community programs near them, ensuring that they find the right fit for the participant.

HOUSEHOLD TASKS

Daily household tasks can be difficult to perform for many people with disabilities due to limited mobility or cognitive disability. They would require assistance for some of the tasks that they cannot manage. Carelink Supports and Services has a team of qualifies and compassionate support workers who can do your household tasks for you or assist you in performing them.

No matter the household task that the participant will need assistance in, our support staff can assist you with it, be it laundry, dishwashing, home cleaning, or cooking. Apart from indoor chores, we also assist participants with tasks like grocery shopping, lawn mowing, gardening, trash removal, etc. Our aim is not to do all the work for the participants, but to ensure that they can live as independently as possible with minimal assistance by empowering them to do the tasks on their own.

ACCOMMODATION / TENANCY

Carelink Supports and Services has a range of accommodation options available for NDIS participants. All our accommodation options are disability friendly and are in convenient locations, which are near parks, shopping centres, public transport, medical facility, etc.

Our accommodations are set up in a way that is comfortable for participants and makes them feel at home while providing them a change in environment. All our accommodations are modified to cater to the needs of the participants so that they can navigate through the place easily with minimal assistance. Moreover, when they stay at one of our accommodations, we provide personal care services like personal grooming, cooking and cleaning, medication intake, showering and toileting, and any other services they require.

Depending on the NDIS plan of the participant, we can also help them look for tenancy options that will be convenient for them. We offer Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA) as well as Supported Independent Living (SIL) for those who would require support throughout the day.

ASSIST TRAVEL / TRANSPORT

Using the public transport or travelling from one place to another can be a bit challenging for people with disability. Carelink Supports and Services offers assistance with travel and transport to NDIS participants so that they are able to travel with ease without the support of anyone. Our team at Carelink Supports and Services can enable participants to use public transport by showing them the public transport routes, buying and recharging go card, how to read the bus and train timetables, and the facilities they can use to make their travel easier.

For many participants, using public transport might not be feasible. Depending on the NDIS plan, we can also help participants use private transport options like taxis. Apart from these, we have wheelchair accessible vehicles to drive you to and from your appointment or other areas in the community. You can count on our staff to drive you to your destination safely and comfortably.
